Ansiedade na performance musical: estudo de caso com a Orquestra Filarmonia das Beiras

Resumo


A ansiedade na performance musical (APM) é um distúrbio que afeta os músicos independentemente da sua idade, experiência, dedicação ou tipo de instrumento. A APM se faz presente em músicos de orquestras, coros e solistas e surge como um fenômeno fisiológico, psicológico, cognitivo e emocional. O presente estudo teve como objetivo averiguar os níveis de ansiedade dos músicos da Orquestra Filarmonia das Beiras, orquestra de destaque no centro de Portugal, através de um estudo de caso. Através da aplicação do questionário STAI-Y, compararam-se os níveis de ansiedade-estado de 36 músicos da Orquestra Filarmonia das Beiras antes de um concerto com os níveis de ansiedade-traço destes músicos numa situação geral. Além disso, compararam-se os dados obtidos com os valores de referência da respectiva população normativa, considerando também a variável sexo. Concluiu-se que os músicos da Orquestra Filarmonia das Beiras não apresentaram diferenças significativas entre os dois momentos e apresentaram baixos índices de ansiedade-estado e ansiedade-traço comparativamente com a população portuguesa normativa.
